I am delighted with my car and with the service provided by Matt Searle. He has proved very knowledgeable, offering advice, finding out exactly what I was looking for, but never in a pushy way. After our test drive, Matt suggested we would need some thinking time so recommended we let him know once we’d done this, we never felt under pressure to buy and we immediately felt he is very trustworthy. Matt went to the trouble of buying a VW centre cap that had been missing on one of the wheels and also Touran mats to protect the floor throughout. I had been looking all over the south west for 6 weeks for the right car and tried all sorts of dealers. I should have gone to Matt first thing. He was a breath of fresh air, honest, straight forward and didn’t take me for a fool. He provided just the car for our needs at a reasonable price. True to his word he gave his own 3 month warranty cover, when the car showed a warning light he had the problem sorted in 24 hours, and when after 6 weeks we discovered a fault with the thermostat he also got that replaced in 24 hours. Neither of these faults would have shown up on a service. A breath of fresh air after dealing with ‘warranty’ companies in the past who do nothing but raise my blood pressure and cost more than the repair limit they cover! I purchased a BMW diesel estate from Matt in September. I arrived at his premises without first phoning through and he was more than happy for me to have a look around and ask questions without feeling any pressure. During the test drive Matt pointed out some of the features in the car and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. When I did a HPI check it came back with outstanding credit so I asked Matt for more details. He went away and dealt with the HPI company and was able to sort it out and provide me with a HPI certificate and guarantee. The car was given a full service by the main BMW dealers and tax and tested as part of the purchase price. Even advisories were sorted out including getting matching tyres so I knew the car was spot on when I collected it a week later. I covered nearly two thousand miles within the first month and when I had a problem with a fogging headlight and sticking lock Matt took the car back and sorted it out within 24hours. I would definitely recommend Matt Searle Estates and would be happy to purchase another car from him in the future.

Knowing that people are often quick to send emails of complaint, I felt I should do the opposite and send an email thanking you for not just supplying me with what has turned out to be an excellent car, but also for how I have been treated since we first made contact a few weeks ago. Unlike many other dealers I emailed, you were quick to reply and easy to make contact with after my initial enquiry. You were always prompt and honest to answer any questions about the Volvo V70 I was interested in. For me, what was important, was knowing you had a good knowledge about the V70 as I know, like all cars, they have their issues. It was clear from out first call that you knew a lot about the V70 which was reassurig when you are spending many thousands of pounds. Having spent many weeks searching Autotrader and other sites for my ideal car I found yours to be not only keenly priced but accurately described and the hi resolution images you sent over were great. I had previously been to see another local V70 which was also well priced but was offered a rediculously low part exchange value on my S-Max. I had done my research and I knew what the true trade in price of my car was and you matched that and another £100 which was better than I expected. As you know I made a 274 mile trip to come down and test drive the V70 and it was nice to be offerred a coffee when I found you. The car was prepared to a high standard and it was nice you took the time to show me all round the car and point out the new tyres. Its unusual for dealer to put a Pirrelli tyres on just to match up, especially when I know they cost £150 + a corner. The test drive went really well and as you know I loved the car. Sorting out the warranty and payment was as painless as parting with thousands of pounds can be and the journey home was an absolute pleasure.
I was a little concerned when the engine system service light came out after just three days resulting in a trip to my local Volvo specialist but I was pleasantly surprised when you offered to cover the cost of having the car connected up and having the faults diagnosed, the problem sorted and the faults cleared. I expected several calls and emails to get this resolved but you were quick to make sure I was happy, which I was, but not as happy as the Wife who wondered why on Earth I had done a 600 mile round trip for our new car !!
